What to Wear for Spring Photo Sessions

Spring sessions bring colour, light and a chance to play with outfits that feel fresh after winter. Easter minis, lilac fields and blossom sessions all work well with clothing that feels easy, bright and comfortable. Families often ask where to start, so here’s a simple way to think about it.

Soft colours photograph well in spring. Pastels, neutrals and gentle greens fit naturally with florals and bright backdrops. Dresses, light sweaters and cotton pieces move well and keep kids comfortable. Patterns work best when they stay simple, like small florals or light checks.

For girls, dresses with movement always look great. Cardigans, bows and simple shoes keep the look polished without feeling formal. For boys, chinos, button‑downs, henleys and soft sweaters create a clean look that still feels relaxed. Suspenders add a fun touch for younger kids.
Siblings look great when their outfits share a similar palette. Mix solids with one or two
patterns so the overall look feels balanced. Keep accessories light so faces stay the focus.

Easter minis pair well with pastels, creams and soft textures. Lilac fields love lavender, sage, denim and white. Blossom sessions shine with blush, light blue and airy fabrics.
Comfort matters. Kids move, run and explore during sessions, so breathable fabrics help everyone stay happy. Neutral shoes keep the focus on the people in the frame. A backup outfit for little ones is always a smart idea.
Spring sessions are playful, colourful and full of energy. The right outfits help bring that feeling forward in every photo.
