What to Expect at a Fall Mini Session in Niagara

Fall is my favourite season to photograph families. The light goes golden, the leaves turn, and everything feels a little bit magic. If you have been thinking about booking a fall mini session, here is exactly what to expect so you can show up relaxed and ready.

What is a mini session?

A mini session is a short, focused photo session. Mine run in 15 minute slots, which is perfect for little ones with short attention spans. We keep things moving, play a little, and you are done before anyone gets restless.

Where and when

This fall I am offering two mini session dates in Niagara:

Saturday, October 17 at Firemans Park
Saturday, October 24 at Orchard Farm

Both locations are gorgeous in October. Firemans Park has beautiful open green space and trees, and Orchard Farm brings that classic autumn orchard feel.

Who can come?

Minis are designed for immediate family, up to 5 or 6 people. The short time slots mean we need to keep things moving, so if you want the whole extended crew, a full session is the better fit.

What should we wear?

Coordinate, don't match. I always suggest warm autumn earth tones and neutrals: rust, mustard, navy, olive, cream. Think cozy layers and textures. Skip neon colours and big logos, they pull focus in photos.

What if it rains?

We watch the forecast together. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we reschedule to a weeknight for the best weather date during peak season. No stress, no lost session.

When do we get our photos?

Your finished gallery arrives within a week to 10 days. Just in time to order prints or start thinking about holiday cards.

What is included?

Sessions start at $100 for 5 digital images, with upgrades available if you fall in love with more (you will).
