One of the most common questions I hear before a boudoir session is:
“What should I wear?”
The short answer?
Whatever makes you feel confident, comfortable, and a little bit powerful.
Boudoir isn’t about squeezing yourself into something that doesn’t feel like you. It’s about choosing pieces that move with your body, feel good against your skin, and let your personality shine through. Soft and romantic, bold and dramatic, cozy and intimate.
All of it belongs here.
Some clients arrive with a full suitcase of options. Others bring one outfit they absolutely love. Both are perfect. There’s no right or wrong, just what feels right for you.
If you’re feeling stuck or don’t know where to start, don’t worry. I’ve got you.

Finding lingerie or boudoir‑friendly pieces doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Below are some of my favourite places to shop — brands I recommend because they photograph beautifully, fit a wide range of bodies, and offer styles that feel confident without being uncomfortable.
Whether you’re drawn to soft lace, modern minimalism, playful sets, or something a little more daring, there’s something here for everyone.
Blush Lingerie
Blush Lingerie is one of my go‑to recommendations for boudoir sessions, especially if you’re drawn to soft, romantic pieces that feel beautiful without being overdone. Their designs are delicate, flattering, and incredibly wearable, perfect for clients who want something sensual but still comfortable. Think lace that moves with you, gentle silhouettes, and colours that photograph beautifully in natural light. Blush is ideal for at‑home boudoir sessions or anyone looking for an effortless, intimate look that feels timeless rather than trendy.
Honey Birdette
Honey Birdette is for when you want to feel bold, powerful, and undeniably magnetic. These pieces are unapologetically sexyL structured, dramatic, and designed to make a statement the moment you put them on. If you love the idea of leaning into confidence, playing with edge, or creating something striking and cinematic, Honey Birdette delivers every time. Their sets photograph beautifully, especially in studio or location sessions where you want high impact and strong lines. This is lingerie for main‑character energy, confident, fearless, and absolutely stunning.

Cosabella
Cosabella is a beautiful choice if comfort and confidence are at the top of your list. Known for their exceptional fit and inclusive sizing, Cosabella pieces feel supportive without sacrificing softness or style. Their lace is luxurious but wearable, making it ideal for boudoir sessions where you want to move, stretch, and breathe without constantly adjusting. These pieces photograph effortlessly, timeless, flattering, and quietly sensual. If you’re looking for lingerie that feels as good as it looks, Cosabella is an excellent place to start.
Playful Promises
Playful Promises is exactly what the name suggests — fun, flirty, and full of personality. This is a fantastic option if you want lingerie that feels expressive and joyful while still being incredibly flattering. Their designs range from sweet and romantic to bold and cheeky, with a strong focus on inclusive sizing and body‑positive fits. Playful Promises pieces photograph beautifully and are perfect for clients who want to lean into colour, texture, and a little bit of playful confidence during their boudoir session.
Adore Me
Adore Me is a fantastic option if you want lingerie that feels playful, sexy, and easy to shop. Their collections offer a wide range of styles — from soft and romantic to bold and flirty — with inclusive sizing and approachable pricing that makes it easy to try a few different looks. Adore Me pieces photograph beautifully and are especially great if you’re building a small wardrobe for your session or want variety without overthinking it. Confident, fun, and effortlessly boudoir‑friendly.
At the end of the day, what you wear to your boudoir session matters far less than how you feel in it. The best pieces are the ones that make you stand a little taller, breathe a little deeper, and recognize yourself in the mirror. Whether you’re drawn to soft lace, bold structure, playful colour, or something quietly powerful, there’s no wrong choice, only what feels right for you. And if you’re ever unsure, I’m always here to help guide you. Boudoir is about confidence, comfort, and creating something that feels honest… and a little bit magical.
